Getting to Huanglong Cave

Huanglong Cave lies in the northeast of the Suoxiyu area of the Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area, one of the key sights of the Wulingyuan World Natural Heritage Site and Global Geopark. Search "Huanglong Cave" or "Zhangjiajie Huanglong Cave" in any map app for precise navigation.

Route: From downtown Zhangjiajie, drive along the Zhangqing Highway or G241. The distance is about 35–40 km, roughly 50 minutes to 1 hour by car.

Navigation: Search "Huanglong Cave" in Baidu Maps, Amap or Tencent Maps and follow the directions.

Parking: A car park is available at the scenic area. Traffic is heavier in peak season (March–November), so travel off-peak and arrive early.

From Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station, take a bus heading to Wulingyuan and get off at the Huanglong Cave stop. Some services stop right at the entrance; the timetable depends on the day.

After getting off, walk or transfer to the scenic shuttle to reach the ticket entrance. Call the station or our support line beforehand to confirm daily departure times.

Zhangjiajie West Station (high-speed rail): Take a taxi or ride-hailing car toward Wulingyuan, about 1 hour by car.

Zhangjiajie Station (conventional rail): Take a taxi or public transport, about 50 minutes.

Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport: About 40–50 km from the scenic area, roughly 1 hour by car. Taxis and ride-hailing services run directly to the cave.

Taxis and ride-hailing apps are available downtown, at the railway stations and at the airport — ideal for families or small groups. Confirm with the driver that the destination is "Wulingyuan Huanglong Cave" to avoid the wrong entrance.
